Libros: Lord Of The Rings (well I did read it once and it took most of 1984 to get through it) - Poetry of Henry Lawson and Banjo Patterson (makes you appreciate Australia even more for what it was before it got Americanised) - Look and Learn magazine (The way I learnt about history and science - I have the complete run of 1049 issues from 1962-1982, but mainly because of the Trigan Empire serial) - National Geographic - Random books bought for 10c at Opp Shops and then given back, who says there is no such thing as cheap entertainment. Below is a record company that I have done some work with who have issued or re-issued some rare Australian 80's CD's.

Peliculas: Movies: The Club, Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, Duel, The Dish, Gotcha, Repo Man, Stark and most Australian efforts. TV: Documentaries, Countdown, Anything by the D-Generation, Dr Who, Seinfeld, Simpsons, ABC and SBS.

Musica: Predominantly 80's and a preference for Australian but I did also appreciate The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Abba from earlier times and REM, Garbage and alternative after 1990. As long as it is not manufactured bands (singing songs that sound like cheese commercials) or rap/hip hop/funk/soul (as I don't want to slap no-one's bitch or blow any gangsta's away - not too interested in bling either or wearing my pants around my knees).

Hobbies: I collect and hoard things I like, I had to build a bigger house to accommodate my lifestyle. I am rather interested in 80's music, particularly of the Australian variety. I have about 9,000 music video clips from around the world, 10,000 records and 1,500 publications such as Ram and Juke - one day I intend to actually watch, listen to and read them. I also happen to have a deep appreciation of Australian Rules Football, again I prefer the way it was played in the 80's, and again I have a large collection of video footage of the 80's. Being a hoarder I also still have a large comic collection (about 4,000) that I put together in the 70's (I didn't care as much for the music so I read comics, fair enough as I was about 5-10 years of age), although I do occasionally add to it. I also run a couple of marathons every year - the hardest things I have ever done physically - PB 3:17:29

I live on the edge - the edge of Melbourne and I believe life was better in the 1980's. This wasn't something I realised at the time, I only discovered that when I couldn't really adapt to what was put up as a replacement.
