Read the Origin of Species by Darwin - it's available online or can be purchased. Read Dawkin's and Stephen J. Gould's books. Something had to create the first cell is you assertion. My simple question to you is, where did your god come from? Although science, to my knowledge, has not "creatd" life, doesn't mean that they won't in the future. It's called god of the gaps. Anytime I don't understand something I posite "God". 4000 years ago, people thought gods made thunder etc. etc.

Kingie, like yourself I once was a creationist to the core. I asked the same questions you did. However, there came a time when I stood back without any presupositons, and looked at each side from it's own evidence. From emperical evidence, I believe evolution is a fact. Aug 28, 2008 - I've yet to meet an atheist who believes the universe came from "nothing". Creationists believe that God "created" everything from nothing, so they believe this more than atheists. Finally, where did God come from? If the universe "had to come from something", isn't that true for God? If you don't think that's true of God, why can it not be true of matter and energy (i.e. the universe)?
