Apr 13, 2008 - I would rather carry the Walther PPS but it's not mine. I carry my Glock 27 but I like the way my XD shoots better.

Apr 14, 2008 - I agree, especially for the summer the walther looks really appealing.

Apr 22, 2008 - I carry the xd sub compact in 40cal, but i just bought a sub compact taurus in 45 cal and that will be my new carry.

May 5, 2008 - nice stance. how bright is the dot. I wish I could have seen it. I saw a red dot that this guy had at the range. it was bright as hell! I didn't get the chance to ask him what kind it was.
jhhibbs Escribio:
May 5, 2008 - Thanks. it's bright and the dot gets big @ 25 ft. +, My Walther p22 laser has a much tighter dot @ a distance. The best lasers are green. Check out Viridian lasers, they are strong and bright green.

May 19, 2008 - Hey man nice set up. So, I noticed that only the laser is on. I just got an XD9 and it is freakin sweet. I heard though, that with the X2 light/laser set up, you aren't able to use only the laser. How'd you do it? Or is my info bad? Thanks!
jhhibbs Escribio:
May 19, 2008 - Thanks. Thats the right info but if you remove the light bulb the laser can come on by itself. You just unscrew the end of the flash light and the bulb comes right out and you can store it in the box the laser came with. If you run the light all the time when you use the laser it drains the battery a lot faster too. Did you get the subcompact?

May 20, 2008 - Good tip! I found the light/laser combo for 155. That's the cheapest but it's on backorder. Yeah, I got the subcompact. I had a really good day on the range. Put almost 300 rounds throough it and didn't burp, hiccup or fart the whole time. It really is a great gun. Got mine with Heini "8 stack" sights and it is cool. Thanks for your vids and tips bro. Keep em coming!

Jun 3, 2008 - how is the recoil on the subcompact compared to the service?
jhhibbs Escribio:
Jun 5, 2008 - it pops pretty hard. As you can see in the slow mo I have to fix my grip after the first shot. I think it's about the same as my .40 Glock sub compact. Only because the barrel is so short. The service model is very easy to shoot, not a lot of recoil.

Jun 24, 2008 - Not trying to be an ass....but my 40 sub doesn't kick that bad
jhhibbs Escribio:
Jun 25, 2008 - Oh I don't mind the kick at all, I'm saying the XD9 sub compact has more recoil compared to most 9mm pistols i have shot. A Glock 26 has less recoil than the Glock 27 but this XD9 is the same size and caliber as a Glock 26 but feels more like a Glock 27.

Aug 7, 2008 - Nice setup...I just recently have become very interested in picking up an XD sub compact or the new XDm. All Ive heard about both have been very positive, How dead on is the laser? Is in adjustable? Currently am carrying a Sig 229 chambered in .357 sig but would like to get a lighter, smaller carry weapon. Would you recommend the XD or the Glock? Im going back and forth between the XD and the Glock 30....still havent decided which one..
jhhibbs Escribio:
Aug 8, 2008 - Thanks, The laser is great on the XD and it is fully adjustable. That sig you have is really nice, but i bet it is a little heavy. I would go with the Glock because XD doesn't have a 45ACP in a sub compact frame and you said you are leaning toward the G30.

Aug 12, 2008 - how is the 357 sig?
oxycodone30 Escribio:
Aug 14, 2008 - I love it.Ive owned pretty much all calibers and found the .357 to be my favorite. The recoil is sharp, but to me, very managable. Ive always shot best with either a sharp, fast kicking round or a heavy slow kick, but not a fan of the in between rounds(ex. 40SW or 9mm). The closest round I could compare it to would be a 9mm +P+. Ive also owned the majority of pistol brands and found the Sig to be hands down my favorite, altho the XDm has promise. That being said, the .357 is a badass!Thumbs up

Aug 14, 2008 - sweet bro, yeah i heard it was a .357 mag squashed down so you could have 15 rounds of rock and roll

Oct 17, 2008 - I just bought the XD-40 subcompact today with the X2L setup - was wondering the same thing - bummer that you cant just switch the light off...so I did the same and took out the bulb.... Love the setup so far.
