Mar 3, 2008 - great question! i have done this mod many times. rather than route the pickup cavity, i go to my grinder and shave about 1/8" off the outer radii of the strat pickup bottom plate until it fits into the cavity . usually a very tight fit but it works.

May 2, 2008 - yes, the bending for three note bending that i do uses the first finger to pull the gstring toward the floor, while the pinky and third finger hold the stationary notes on the 5th and 4th strings. takes a little practice and strong hands, but you can do it!
