Jan 16, 2008 - Everytime I look at FPVODs at the end I look over to the minimap. Most of the map to the west is unexplored. If the terran decides to hide an expo, which they hardly ever do, they can easily win with the extra economy. In those fifteen minutes, he could have build up another whole base by now. It's not very practical to try, as if it's spotted out you're dead. I must say I'm suprised that he didn't bother sending a probe to scout those areas.

Jan 16, 2008 - It's because a good protoss would be able to take advantage of the economic disadvantage the terran has after expanding so early. It's not just the 400 for the CC but also transfering SCVs and production of more SCVs.

Jan 17, 2008 - right, the reason he didnt explore those areas is because he KNEW that they didnt have a secret expansion as such. when you get to the pro standard like stork, you can tell whether your opponents got an expo or not by looking at their amount of units and the timing of their builds (i.e when more factories go up etc) so they dont waste their time and units searching for expos when they know they havent got one
