Jun 22, 2008 - Amazing! All together (Parts 1, 1.5 and this) make for the sickest set of videos on Youtube! I think my favorites were Excrement (loved the creepy key board part), Mordicus (fucking heavy brutal shit), Purtenance fucking rules, Sacred Crucifix love the shit production and sheer brutality but easily the greatest band was Sentenced- you were not kidding they fucking KICK!

I mean, this song here was clear DM/ Deathrash song but the whole "Fresco lungs" EP, the song was taken from has such a musical diversity. There's more doomish songs, even disco ambients kind of tendencies. Huge diversity. How's things there Six Feet Down Under XD how's the local scene. Can't remember any Old-school Australian bands just now . . .

Aug 20, 2008 - I'm glad I was into the ug-scene back then... I have kept all the originals ja should digitalize them someday. I used to run a fanzine and I have interviewed almost all these bands. You should listen to the whole Purtenance album, they have the worst drummer ever :D Too bad almost all the bands split-up after their first EP or album (which was a big thing) or just quit playing death metal and turned into more commercial sound...

It is really ashamful that only a few of these and other great bands only lived for a short period back then and changed their musical style or splitted-up. Cool to meet some one that has actually meet these guys and stuff. Could you by any how put some stuff here in tube. I have relatively few of these rearities. KEEP IT OLD-SCHOOL \M/

Nov 29, 2008 - Lasse from Phlegethon plays in some new bands like Vacant Coffin, Twist Ending, Acid Witch, Hooded Menace, Reeking Filth, and Shrouded. They all rule! They all have a really old school sound. Great video, by the way.

He's the Dan Swanö of Finnish Death metal scene \m/ Thanks Two more Tributes coming ( altogether 12 more bands ) of Finnish Old-School \m/ That is ,ofcourse, if I will receiver my "Dysanchelium" from Singapore =)
