In an apocalyptic vision of the future, authorities brutally quarantine Scotland as it succumbs to fear and chaos when a virus strikes. The literal walling-off works for three decades - until the dreaded Reaper virus violently resurfaces in London. An elite group of specialists, captained by Eden Sinclair (Rhona Mitra), is urgently dispatched into the still-quarantined country to retrieve a cure by any means necessary. Shut off from the rest of the world, the unit must battle through a landscape that has become a waking nightmare. Now, 27 years after the epidemic, groups of survivors are marauding through the streets of Glasgow and the virus has surfaced outside the wall. The British P.M., John Hatcher (Alexander Siddig), and his ruthless chief advisor, Michael Canaris (David O'Hara), have decided to send a covert team into Scotland to search for a cure. On the recommendation of Chief of Police Bill Nelson (Bob Hoskins), Eden is a no-nonsense cop who was evacuated from Scotland as a child. She is told to seek out a scientist named Kane (Malcolm McDowell), who is the most likely survivor to possess the cure. Once within the containment zone, however, she finds that such a task will not be easily accomplished. There are two barbaric factions at war - one led by Kane and the other by his son, Sol (Craig Conway) - and both want Sinclair and her compatriots dead.

LOL!" agreed, its too much damn fan-service these days, i am a guy, therefore i want to see guys as heroes in movies, if i want too see girls in tight leatherpants i go and watch a playboy flick. and the whole plot is copied and stereotypical. and no i am not a redneck hobo that thinks that women should be used only as child-farms or kitchen service, but a hard-ass heroine in EVERY movie?

Nov 30, 2008 - Sorry but I do agree the movie was utter shit, and not for bad acting, effect, or plot, but the fact that every second, and every frame of the movie shows someones head being blown off, animals being mutilated in ways I never knew possible, and my God the blood. Violent movies don't do well, I'm quite frankly disappointment with this film. Sad really because I usually enjoy British movies, but this was complete rubbish.

Nov 30, 2008 - the movie started awsome. continued a little boring. then got a bit more exiting. then quiet silent.... untill they came to that medivel castle... and it just got worse and worse. and was at its top worsnes (not a word. i know) at that car scene... the end when that extremely hot. dont remember. she was a major. decided to stay!!! if you watch this movie. you can stop at about 1h:20m...

And the actress is verry bad as well, kinda reminds me of Kate Beckinsale in the Underworld movies who only got the crapy role because she is married to the damn director of the movies.
