Jun 4, 2008 - He was on his harley and collided with a lorry (truck) on the woodside pass in Derbyshire, UK. He was a really competitive lad and you can bet your last dollar, wherever he is now, he'll be at the front!. RIP Jason. Gra
grabmax1 Escribio:
Jun 4, 2008 - In answer to your remark, NO, he wasn't a wasted stoned biker. He was the most talented rider to come from the Great UK. I have really taken offence to you grier50. The lad ain't here to defend himself and he doesn't have to. Got it? dude!. Gra. If ya think your 'ard enough, lets give it a go.

Jun 17, 2008 - What a legend. One sadly missed gent indeed. I remember watching the actual show on TV, the track was by his some in Washington, Tyne and Wear. It brings a tear to your eye everytime you pass his resting place on the woodhead pass

Jun 23, 2008 - Met him in the Alps in 93 (and Dave Hemming) - all around top bloke - would still be going strong today - and beating people! First UK MTB superstar - taken way too early. Check out the 2" travel Spesh from way back when and the cantis! 60mph and no disc brakes - respect!

Aug 7, 2008 - I was lucky to meet him at the European mountainbike championchip in the Tjech Republic, what an amazing guy, the first English rider to join an American team. On his last coins he entered the kamikaze downhill and won $5000 US to afford his flight back to UK. A legend will live on R.I.P. JMC

Oct 6, 2008 - What a bloke. i never appreciated him when he was around in the mags,i preferred nico, but untill his death i only found out that he would have been the main contender for nicos dominance. From then on i had major respect for what he achieved and contributed to cycling at the time. Big up JMC.

Nov 18, 2008 - i remember exactly where i was when i heard the news about him,one of the greatest things jason did was to get B.M.X.thought of as a sport that had atheletes and not just kids on bikes messing round!. this years olympics say it all!. due in part to jason. R.I.P.

May 13, 2008 - I have one of the Specialized FSR bikes which Jason is riding in this video. It's a peach, 60mm of rear travel and very light. Shame it's a pig to maintain in UK riding conditions. Jason was almost exactly the same age as me and died on the day I took my bike up Ben Nevis. RIP indeed, someone who should never be forgotten.
