Jul 29, 2008 - I think it is very smart and advanced. the building currently in construction in Dubai. it should be safe....it had been studied by smart people...like lindsay lohan

Aug 13, 2008 - There's more chance of a non-muslim airline being highjacked than a muslim airline. There's more chance of a major building (that isn't an embassy) being bombed in a Western country than a muslim one. Muslims don't USUALLY kill other muslims. Infact a muslim terrorist group warned for Muslims to stay away from the Beijing olympics for fear of terrorist attack.

Aug 23, 2008 - you have no trust in modern engineering. just because its different it doesn't mean its unsafe. cynics like you have been proven wrong throughout human history. furthermore, the wind turbines seems it will be capable of generating more power than the building requires.

Aug 23, 2008 - WHY NOT?

Aug 23, 2008 - Why don't you tell that to the passengers on the Titanic...oh wait, you can't most of them died when "the unsinkable ship" SANK!!! Or how about the passengers of the Hindenburg...oh darn, same thing. You said, "I have no trust in modern engineering"? As I mentioned in my first post, I am a Mechanical Engineer, and I trust science very much...I must to do my job everyday. What I don't trust are companies who risk their customers lives for no reason other than increasing their profits. =(

Longbow01 Escribio:

Aug 23, 2008 - You're kidding right? Almost everyday I wake up and turn on CNN and I can predict what will be in the news: the US 2008 election, some cute white girl has gone missing, Mother Nature is going crazy somewhere in the world and Muslim terrorists have blown something to Hell. And that "something" usually happens to be a civilian structure (usually located in Iraq, Afghanistan or Pakistan) containing many other innocient Muslims (men, women and children). So do you care to change your statement now?

Sep 9, 2008 - I hope motion sickness won't be a problem. I've heard some people get motion sickness even in slow speeds.

Oct 4, 2008 - That's some good insight there longbow.

Oct 6, 2008 - That looks like a really bad idea hatched by artists who have no idea what that implies for structural design. What an inefficient way to build a building, seriously, when employees cant make living wages, companies have no business spending the money this would require to be safe. We are talking hundreds of times the cost of a building that could house more offices. NO way is this worth it, and the risk! wow Id be more shocked by their arrogance than impressed by its looks.

aristcratunion Escribio:

Oct 7, 2008 - It is... move. yes. And..... people, administrator side, are would be wanted by psychology to move. I see. Then..... cause nesessary of maintenance more, danger of electrical cable or sort of the other cutted off, And waste of energy.

DaandeTV Escribio:

Oct 8, 2008 - Absolutely incomprehensible.

Oct 12, 2008 - It would be almost impossible to build but... if it's done, it'll be one stunning sight

Oct 14, 2008 - what?

Oct 14, 2008 - pretty awesome, I hope this is made!

RockNRococo Escribio:

Oct 26, 2008 - Wow, looks great, but flimsy. I think this building will collapse. They should have thought about how to fix window panels if they're destroyed. If the units are rotating, will they all be stopped to tend to one unit? What if there are strong wind gusts and one blade breaks or worse yet, spin a unit to the point of destruction and someone's innocent death? This building will be a major catastrophy.

SvenAERTS Escribio:

Oct 31, 2008 - Hm ... my advise ... marry a blond !

BalmungSama0 Escribio:

Nov 2, 2008 - Nah. It's not flimsy. It's actually really strong. If I were working on this, I'd design it to be fixable from the inside. You can take a car up in the lift, so replacing a window the same way should be doable. Dude, do you have any idea how heavy each floor is? A strong gust won't spin this very fast at all. It takes hours for a full rotation. The building looks beautiful, is original and looks structurally sound.

BalmungSama0 Escribio:

Nov 2, 2008 - There's ery little risk involved. And because it's being built like a lego tower (each condo is built in a factory in Italy and will be assembled there like lego blocks), costs won't be very high. Plus, the building's rotating allows it to be totally self-powered, so it'll save a fortune on energy costs alone.

RockNRococo Escribio:

Nov 3, 2008 - Let's hope so!

Yonkage Escribio:

Nov 12, 2008 - I didn't get that it "takes hours for a full rotation" until I read the comments. They should have that in the description because 95% of the people who watch this are not physicists, and won't know that, because just watching the video gives you the impression it's showing the movement in real-time. I was thinking "The hell? It'll make people sick, spinning around like a top!" Just the spinning tower in Sea World at San Diego is impressive enough - this would be breathtaking.

wa7eeedinAus Escribio:

Nov 19, 2008 - imagine people living inside there will feel dizzy and may puke lol

boff737 Escribio:

Nov 30, 2008 - Don't see how you would feel drunk. A family friend has a "dynamic" house which rotates throughout the day. Also, one does not feel queazy when one has a meal in the CN tower, for example......go figure....
