Tony Emsley R.I.PFor anyone who knew Tony here is a website to leave any messageshttp://www.legacy.com/Link.asp?I=GB000101372841Tony was a good friend, a talented musician, an award winning film producer, and a very warm, open spirit. Back in the mid 80's he was the drummer in our band. He was also the manager, sometimes wearing himself out managing, drumming and knocking on doors trying to promote the band. He went on to film school and produced many award winning short films. He always pushed himself and others onto bigger and greater things, money was never his concern though, only trying to bring out the creative and imaginative qualities he saw in people. Suicide has always been a taboo subject. Nobody wants to talk about such an overwhelmingly sad event. A natural, or accidental death is difficult enough for family and friends to cope with, but suicide always touches far deeper emotions. Sometimes anger, sometimes just sheer confusion. It would be much better if family and friends could see the signs earlier, but the nature of depression is concealment and a feeling of separation. People cover up and try to hide their pain and deep sadness, so even the closest people to them are unaware of their pain and feeling of hopelessness. If only we could see the signs earlier. My heart and thoughts go out to Tony's wife, child and mother. There is always a space left behind after such tragedies. This song, is in a small way, my way of filling a part of that space. Hope in the face of Hopelessness. I know you're at peace now friend. made from firewe all owe something to someoneno-one can make it alonedon't keep inside what binds usdon't let that isolation growwe were made from firebuilt from sand and gluebringing it on and taking it higherc'mon i know we'll make it throughall my friends are leavingthey couldn't take the weight anymoreoutside they smileinside they're feelingfor this life there ain't any curewe were made from firebuilt from sand and gluebringing it on and taking it higherc'mon i know we'll make it throughi wish i knew how you were feelingi could've done more i knowoutside you smiledbut inside you were bleedingsometimes those scars never showwe were made from firebuilt from sand and gluebringing it on and taking it higherc'mon i know we'll make it through

Aug 29, 2008 - I sympathise with your friend's loss Bro. I'd like to believe that his spirit or consciousness knows about how his passing inspired you to write a great song for tribute *****Yeah I think if you only knew he was low, I think you could have taken him higher when you propelled in @ 3:49, then while up there sorta bond together like lava creates solid grounds when the fire cools off....
