Here is a film of a visit to Waterloo, Belgium in the 1960s. You see a restaurant "Les Allies" and the famous Butte du Lion. There is a group of people in the town square having a picnic near a Sherman tank. I am the owner of this film. The music is my original arrangement of the public domain song "Carolan's Welcome" by Turlough O'Carolan, the great Irish harper. Thanks for watching.

Nov 27, 2008 - Well the scene with the Sherman is in McAuliffe Square in Bastogne, and the shot of the main street is in Bastogne as well heading down towards the seminary. The remainder of the scenes are of Waterloo though.

May 13, 2008 - Interesting vid ,thanx. I visited Waterloo in 1972, dont remember seeing the Sherman tank there. Hope to go again soon, will look for it. My overwhelming memory of waterloo was that if you didnt know the history you could so easily walk away with the impression that Napoleon won!
